About Me
I began my career in the Peace Corps, supporting community health efforts in rural Guatemala. During these two years, I cultivated resourcefulness, empathy, and cross-cultural communication skills. I also saw first-hand how the circumstances in which we are born can dictate our opportunities and access to resources. This foundational experience has influenced the rest of my career. I strive to reduce barriers and create access to services. At Fitbit, I worked with employers, health plans, and population health partners to create access to fitness with Fitbit devices. At Tandem, I helped create access to early learning resources for all families. At SaverLife and Commonwealth, I have worked to create access to financial stability for low-to-moderate income households through partnerships with employers, financial institutions and advocacy partners.
In my personal life, I spend my time hiking, traveling, dancing, trying new foods, rooting for the Padres, and immersing myself in projects that challenge me physically and intellectually. Recent projects include: building a wood-fired pizza oven with my dad, adopting a rescue pup, organizing a fundraising event for Make-A-Wish San Diego, and hiking 28 miles in a day as part of their Trailblaze Challenge. I’m always up for meeting new people, getting out in nature, and exchanging stories. Please reach out if you’re interested in grabbing a coffee, chatting on a call, or going for a walk to share experiences and connect on how I might support your work.
